We are in the midst of our breakfast roundtable series on Endpoint & Mobile Device Security. So far we've visited 3 of our 10 chapters and the consensus I am hearing among our member CISOs is "Give us an MDM with containerization or a containerized solution with more MDM features!"
Its obvious that the leading technologies in the space are either focused on centralized device management or security of corporate data through containerization. According to our members, the MDM solutions are good and necessary and the containerization approach is the best way they can see to protect corproate data on mobile devices that are not corporate-owned assets.
Members have expressed a bit of frustration at having to buy and impelement two solutions to accomplish their BYOT/D security goals. I hope the vendors in this space are listening and we will soon see more complete solutions in the space.
